MICHAEL DEHAVEN JOINS DISCUSSION SERIES ON NONPROFIT AND BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS

Rainer & Co Michael DeHaven

Rainer & Company shareholder Michael DeHaven was pleased to serve as a panelist on “Everybody Profits from Nonprofits,” part of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce’s Executive/Board Discussion Series.

Speaking before local nonprofit and for-profit business leaders, DeHaven drew from his experiences serving as a board member of the Chester County Community Foundation, Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry, as well as the Chester County Economic Development Council. He was invited to give his perspective on the benefits of local businesses partnering with nonprofits, as well as the critical role that nonprofit board members can play in fundraising. While board members may shy away from such tasks, DeHaven and his co-panelists discussed the aspects of fundraising that board members are expected to undertake. They also gave tips on best practices and fundraising strategies.

Taking place September 12th, 2017 at Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester, PA, the event was moderated by Mark Yoder, President and CEO of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce. Fellow panelists included Karen Simmons, CEO of the Chester County Community Foundation, as well as Mark Pavlovich, Vice President of Advancement at West Chester University.
